IHM Church Construction Updates (4-17-2024)

Basement Grand Opening

On the weekend of April 28th, we will be having our last weekend Mass in the gymnasium of the school.  This will be followed by the grand opening of our new basement!  Although it has been quite the process, it seems as though the time has gone fast, and we are happy to finally show the finished product to the parish!

Prior to moving Mass to the basement of the church, we want people to have the opportunity to experience and enjoy the space.  The basement will be open for people to view and tour from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Following each Mass, please feel free to come and see!  Just use the south church entrance; you can then either use the stairs, or utilize our new elevator!  When you reach the basement, there will be volunteers available to direct you if needed.

Coffee and donuts will be provided for a free-will offering, which will go to our general parish expenses.  We also will be introducing a raffle for a fundraiser for the parish!  Various groups have donated a wide variety of baskets and prizes!  Thank you very much to those groups for your donation!  Tickets will be sold for $10 each, or 5 for $40.  The drawing will be held at our annual IHM Celebration on Saturday, June 8th.  Therefore, you will have until then to purchase raffle tickets.  Tickets will be available at the parish office, via the bulletin, or you can purchase tickets after Mass.

Mass the following weekend will then be moved from the gymnasium to the new parish hall in the basement.

We also would be remiss if we didn’t thank RDH, our main contractor, as well as all of the subcontractors and workers who helped do such a fantastic job with our new basement!  Thank you also to all of the parishioners of IHM for your prayers, support, and patience throughout the process!  The fruits of everyone’s sacrifices will have a lasting effect on the life of our parish!

Moving Mass to the Basement

On Monday, April 29th, after the 6:45 a.m. Mass, we are in need of volunteers to help move items to the new basement of the church for Mass!  Anyone and everyone is welcome to help!  Please just meet in the gymnasium following Mass, and thank you in advance to everyone who is able to assist in the move!

With this, Mass will be held in the basement of the church beginning on Tuesday, April 30th, until the church is completed, hopefully by September.

IHM Parish Activities

NEW!! Bible Study Class-10 Video Sessions, & Discussion

LECTIO: EUCHARIST: DISCOVERING THE MASS IN THE BIBLE (on FORMED)
Beginning March 3rd - Sunday afternoons – 3:00-4:30 pm

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Upper Room

Acclaimed author and teacher Dr. Brant Pitre digs down to the biblical roots of the Eucharist, through its foreshadowing in the miraculous events of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and Apostolic teaching.

"The Lamb of God," "The Bread of Life," "The Body and the Blood of Christ"... these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church teaching? We'll discover firsthand how Christ's Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous part of God's plan for our salvation.

For more information, contact Abe Fisher 262-957-7673.  Spread the word to friends in other parishes. Catholics and Non-Catholics are welcome!

Meeting dates:

April 21, 28 & May 5, 19. (No class Mother’s Day)
